Made New

There’s something about Baptism Sunday that just hits different. It’s the gospel moving from a concept in a book to a living, breathing reality right in front of our eyes.

This week, we’re coming alongside Norah Fisher, Calvin Jones, Austin Green, Carina Balbuena, Edgar Ortiz, and Zachary Taylor. Different lives and unique paths, but they all land on the same undeniable truth that Jesus makes all things new!

For some of them, the starting point was fear—just that heavy pressure of the unknown or the weight of their circumstances. For others, it was the exhaustion of the grind, the sting of loss, or those dark corners of addiction, anger, and isolation that tell you there’s no way out.

But then, Jesus stepped in. And when He shows up, the story shifts:

Fear got replaced by a peace that doesn't make sense.

Sin ran head-first into radical grace.

Brokenness actually found a purpose.

Burdens that felt permanent were finally lifted.

Darkness didn’t stand a chance against the light.

See, following Jesus isn't about suddenly having a "perfect" life; it’s about having a new one. It’s knowing you aren't alone anymore, you aren't defined by your worst mistakes, and hope is actually back on the table.

Baptism is just the outward "thank you" to God for that inward transformation.

As Norah, Calvin, Austin, Carina, Edgar, and Zachary go under those waters, they’re standing up to tell the world the only thing that matters:

"Jesus has made me new."
