At CityBridge we gather as a church in order to send the church into the world.
Our Story
In the summer of 1998, a group of friends met to consider what it would look like to prayerfully pursue a life of faithfulness to Scriptures as they devoted their lives to Christ together in Dallas.
By the end of 1999, this core group had grown to 150 people who covenanted together to serve Christ and His purposes. These friends’ faithful obedience sparked change in Dallas County as Jesus converted people, healed marriages, and equipped thousands of people for the work of ministry. They couldn’t keep that hope contained only in Dallas, so a steadfast group of members uprooted their lives to plant a Plano campus of Watermark. After a few years of service in Collin County, Watermark Plano launched as CityBridge Community Church.
Though we changed our name, our mission is unchanged: We call all people to full devotion to Jesus Christ. We strive to create a safe place to grow while holding to the high call of discipleship.
Our Values
At CityBridge we are calling all people to be fully devoted followers of Christ. We do this by living lives of authenticity, based on the Bible, in community, growing in discipleship and engaging other with the gospel mission.
Our Beliefs
We believe that God’s Word is our authority, conscience, and guide (2 Timothy 3:16). As such it informs both what we do and why we do it. The Elders and leadership of CityBridge hold to CityBridge’s full doctrinal statement and require that Members agree with CityBridge’s seven essential beliefs about the Bible, the Trinity, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, Man, Salvation, and the Second Coming.
