Family Questions

Read Matthew 5:10

  • What does persecution mean? Being treated with unfriendliness because of what you believe.

  • Is persecution always physical? No! You can be persecuted with words and actions.

  • Have you ever been persecuted in your life? Answers will vary. 

Read Romans 1:16-17

  • Is it hard to tell others (friends, family, etc.) about the gospel? Why? Answers will vary.

  • Why is it important to share the good news about Jesus? The Gospel is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes. People don’t believe in the gospel if they never hear about it.

 Read Matthew 28: 18-19

  • What does Jesus call us to do? Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

 Read Matthew 28:20

  • What does Jesus promise us? He will be with us always.

  • How does that help us share the gospel? It can give you confidence when sharing the gospel with others.

Activity

Take time this week to make a “Top 10 List” with your family (the ten people who you most want to share the gospel with). Look at your Top 10 List and spend time praying for each of the people you wrote down. Discuss with your family different opportunities that you have to share the gospel with those people.
