Pack a Shoe Box and Serve With Us During National Collection Week
Do you love Operation Christmas Child? Connecting with our body? Engaging the city? We would love for you to serve with us! We have the amazing opportunity of being a drop-off location for the South Collin County area the week of November 17-24. We have opportunities to serve both during the day and in the evenings. Kids are welcomed and encouraged to serve with you.
How to Pack a Box

Host A Packing Party in Your Neighborhood
A great way to get neighbors together is by hosting a crafting or packing party for Operation Christmas Child! You can host a party with any group of friends you’d like such as your neighbors, small group, Girl Scout troop, sports team, etc.
Step 1: Start praying for you OCC Packing event! As you pray, ask the Lord to help you set and reach a goal of how many boxes you want to pack.
Step 2: Set a date and invite your neighbors/friends to join you in packing OCC boxes or making crafts. Encourage your neighbors/friends to participate in advance by creating a sign up genius for them to sign up and bring items for the packing party! See an example of a sign up here.
Step 3: Order or print OCC labels so participants can choose the gender and age they’re packing for and track your box once it’s shipped. You can also reach out to our CityBridge for help or to get labels!
Step 4: To set up the packing party, organize items into categorical bins ahead of time so kids can choose one or two items from each bin to fill up a well-balanced box.
Step 5: Host an amazing packing party! Don’t forget to encourage your guests to include a personal note in each box and pray over each box. Check out these printable resources from Operation Christmas Child.
Step 6: Deliver OCC boxes to CityBridge during National Collection Week, November 18-25!
Need help planning your packing party?! Our team is here to help! Email us and we’d be happy to help you get boxes, labels, or share other resources/tips.
Build a Shoebox Online
Shoebox gifts built online go to the ends of the earth to children in some of the hardest-to-reach places—whether deep jungles, city slums, steep mountainsides, or one of more than 1,000 remote Pacific islands. Many of these areas are resistant to the Gospel, for cultural or religious reasons, and are home to some people who have never heard the Name of Jesus Christ.
