CityBridge Membership Covenant
Having trusted in Christ alone as my Lord and Savior, and agreeing with the Mission, Vision, Values, Beliefs, and Governance of CityBridge Community Church, I now am called to unite with the CityBridge family. In doing so, I commit myself to the Lord and to the other members of the family to protect our unity, share in, serve, and support the ministry of my church family through:
1) Believing in Christ…
by sharing the good news of Jesus with and faithfully praying for those who are far from Christ (Luke 19:10; Romans 1:16; Romans 10:1).
by investing in people within my circles of influence, helping them grow as disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus (Matthew 28:19–20).
2) Belonging to His Church…
by living as a fully devoted follower of Christ, pursuing holiness through ongoing repentance and obedience to God’s Word (Luke 9:23; Hebrews 12:1; Ephesians 4:22–24; 1 Peter 1:16).
by participating faithfully in the life of CityBridge, including active involvement in a Community Group with other CityBridge members and filling out the annual 4B Membership Assessment (Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 2:19; Prov 18:1; Galatians 6:1-2; Hebrews 3:13; Hebrews 10:24–25).
by preserving the unity of the church through biblical communication, conflict resolution, warmly welcoming others, and encouraging my brothers and sisters in Christ (Romans 15:7; Proverbs 18:8; Matthew 5:23–25; Matthew 18:15; Galatians 6:1–2).
by humbly submitting myself to the care and correction of CityBridge leadership (Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 5:1–5; Matthew 18:15–18; 1 Corinthians 5:1–12).
3) Being Equipped in His Word…
by affirming the inspiration, inerrancy, infallibility, authority, and sufficiency of God's Word and committing myself to continually read, understand, and apply it to my life (2 Timothy 3:16–17; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 119:9–11; James 1:22).
by pursuing continual spiritual growth through the teaching, resources, and equipping ministries of the church (Ephesians 4:11–13; 1 Peter 3:15).
4) Being Engaged in His Mission…
by serving faithfully in a CityBridge ministry or with a CityBridge ministry partner (1 Peter 4:10).
by praying regularly for the health, unity, and gospel impact of CityBridge, its leaders, its ministries, and its mission partners (Colossians 4:2; 1 Timothy 2:1–2; Acts 1:8; 2 Thessalonians 3:1).
by giving cheerfully, sacrificially, and generously to support the ministry and mission of CityBridge as God has graciously provided for me (2 Corinthians 9:6–7; Romans 8:32; Philippians 4:19; Matthew 23:23).
