I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I have lived all over the place: Austin, TX; NYC, Florida, Haiti, and now back to Dallas-Fort Worth. How I ended up in each of those places is a wild story for a different time.
For as long as I could remember I’ve known who Jesus is. I accepted Christ at a very young age but didn’t truly start walking with the Lord faithfully and consistently until I was 19. The Lord worked on my heart in many ways during my 19th year: He softened my heart towards my family, led me to Re:generation (a 12-step Christ-centered recovery ministry at Watermark Community Church), and surrounded me with a community of women who are still some of my closest friends to this day.
It was also in this season that God called me to ministry. From that moment till now I’ve walked that journey open handily and prayed that the Lord would use me. I’ve had the privilege to work with a handful of ministries over the past years: Mission of Hope in Haiti, Watermark Community Church as an Institute Resident, and For the Nations Refugee Outreach.
The craziest plot twist of all was when I met my husband 1 month after I evacuated from Haiti and moved back to Dallas after saying I would “never move back to Dallas.” In the Lord’s perfect timing, my husband Matt and I got married in 2020 and we moved up north in 2023 which is also when we moved to CityBridge.
Since moving to CityBridge, I’ve served as a Small Group Leader with the Students’ team, and it has been one of the most joyful, challenging, and sanctifying experiences. I have always had a huge heart for the next generation, and it has been such a gift getting to hop on staff with Students’ team to serve both our students and their families.
