COMMUNITY COORDINATOR
I grew up in Los Angeles, California in a Christian home. Although I claimed to be a Christian, I didn’t fully grasp the Gospel until my sophomore year in high school. This led to several years of a rollercoaster faith. I experienced many spiritual highs, like getting baptized in the Sea of Galilee alongside my dad, getting plugged into an amazing high school small group, and going to discipleship camps that helped deepen my faith. At the same time, I had many spiritual lows where I continually walked in a lot of sin and struggled with perfectionism, people pleasing, pride, and unhealthy relationships (to name a few!).
Going to college was the biggest blessing for my faith. I attended Baylor University (sic’ em!) and joined a local church where I learned how to own my faith, fully surrender to the Lord, and live authentically with Biblical community, all of which shaped how I live today! I initially went to college to pursue counseling, but I felt the call to ministry while serving as an intern for the student ministry at Harris Creek Baptist Church and was affirmed in this calling by various church staff members and Baylor professors. After graduation, I had the opportunity to go through the CityBridge Institute, where God used Storyverse Ministries to deepen my faith. He also used my time serving with the Student Ministry Team to strengthen my love for ministry. I loved CityBridge so much that I stuck around, moving to my current role on the Community Team and it has been a blast since!
Community played a pivotal role for me to more fully understand how to live out the One Another’s of Scripture and I am so grateful to now have a job where I help others learn the same!
