Kids & Family Coordinator

I grew up in a small west Texas town in a loving, Christian home. While attending three weekly church services with my family, I learned about Jesus’ love for me at an early age and accepted Christ as Lord of my life when I was eleven. As I grew in my relationship with Christ, I found myself easily falling into a works-based faith – thinking I need to do enough and do it just right in order to earn my salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 has been a continuous reminder for me that my salvation in Christ is secure based on what he has done. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”

In 2007, my husband, Mark, and I came to CityBridge with our three kids, AJ, Noah, and Madi. We have all been blessed and encouraged as we each grow in our relationship with Christ.

Now for a little bit about me, my drink of choice would be Dr. Pepper or Earl Grey tea. I love cooking, camping, traveling, teaching kiddos, and the color red. My previous jobs have included teaching middle school and high school science, teaching at a preschool, and working with special education students as a teacher’s aide.

Hanging out in Starting Blocks each week has been a great joy for me. I look forward every Sunday to the opportunity to love and disciple those little people and to partner with their parents in sharing Jesus’ love for them. I am thrilled to be joining the CityBridge Plano team. I love to encourage others and look forward to using my gifts to serve the body.
