Brad Kirby

lead pastor, elder

Hey there, I’m Brad Kirby!

I’m a husband, dad, preacher, teacher, and minister—but more importantly, I’m a follower of Jesus. I gave my life to Christ when I was 13, and by 18, I clearly knew God was calling me to serve the local church. That call has driven and guided the last 28 years of my life.

While I’ve spent most of my life in Louisiana, but God’s given me the incredible opportunity to serve churches in Louisiana, Florida, Washington D.C., and Texas. It’s been an amazing journey of ministry, growth, and learning to lean on Him every step of the way.

I’m married to Emily Kirby—truly one of the godliest women I know. We met at LSU, went to seminary together, and have served in ministry side by side ever since. Emily has a degree in counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is a licensed professional counselor. She’s has a heart for people and a deep love for Jesus. She challenges me, convicts me to be more like our Lord, and is an unbelievable asset in ministry.

We have two awesome kids: our daughter Reagan Olivia (17), and our son Luke Bradford (12). They are treasures —gifts from the Lord and constant reminders of His goodness.

Along with serving in local churches, I’ve been blessed to preach across the country, partnering with churches to share the good news of Jesus. I graduated from LSU (Geaux Tigers!) and earned my M.Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

My heart is to see believers who really know the Word, stand firm in the truth, and burn with a passion for Christ. My mission is to make disciples who make disciples—through preaching, mentoring, counseling, leading, loving, and shepherding the people of God well.

Other than all that … here are a few things I love: Star Wars, LSU football, strong coffee, NASCAR, golf, playing hoops, Cajun food, landscape painting, and working on my 1968 Chevy C10.

I believe that the local church is one of God’s most powerful tools for transformation in the world. CityBridge is already impacting lives, not only within our walls, but in our neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and beyond. I am sure there will be challenges ahead. Every church throughout all of redemptive history has had them. But I trust that with God at the center, with love as our foundation, and with unity in Christ as our aim, we will overcome every obstacle and thrive—not for our own glory, but for His. As Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:16, “from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”
