CityBridge Family,

The mission of our church is to call all people to full devotion to Christ (Luke 14:27).  It is our desire that full devotion marks the body of Christ at CityBridge, while we also offer a safe place for all people to be vulnerable on their journey of faith.  We do this by how we love one another as Jesus’ disciples (John 13:34-35).  Since our beginning as an independent church four years ago, we have remained committed to living out our core values of Authenticity, Bible-Based, Community, Discipleship, and Engagement.  It gives us much joy to partner with you and watch members of the body deploy their gifts, acts of service, and resources to live out God’s mission here at CityBridge.

CityBridge is a local expression of the Lord’s church in North Dallas and Collin County.  We are all broken and sinful people, but by God’s grace through Christ we have been made alive (Ephesians 2:4-5).  CityBridge is not perfect because none of us are perfect.  Like any family, we have experienced trials and difficult transitions these past couple of years.  However, we also know that we worship a perfect God, and that perseverance through challenges leads us to maturity (James 1:2-4).  We want to thank you for being part of our church family and being steadfast in laboring in the work of the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Each year we take the opportunity for every person at CityBridge to complete a Membership Assessment for two purposes.  First, it allows each person to voluntarily affirm their own commitment to being a member of this local body, our covenant, and to our core beliefs and values.  Second, it allows us to gauge how we are doing in abiding by our covenant and shepherding the flock entrusted to us (1 Peter 5:2, Acts 20:28).  It instructs us on how we can better call each other to full devotion to Christ (Matthew 28:20).  We watch over this flock with great devotion and joy (Hebrews 13:17) as we look forward with great anticipation for all the ways the Lord will work in the coming year!

Humbly,

The Elders of CityBridge Community Church
