“Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” — 1 Thessalonians 2:8

Be An Ambassador for Your Neighbor Zone

What is a Neighbor Zone? A Neighbor Zone is the geographical grouping we have created to help our members connect and draw physical boundaries as described in Acts 17:26 for which members can focus their ministry.

How Can I be an Ambassador? Fill out an application and one of our team members will connect with you!

Engaging Your Neighbors this Spring & Summer

Backyard VBS

The goal of VBS is to show kids Jesus is FUN and to show moms teaching them about Jesus is FUN and EASY! Luke 18:16-17 says, "But Jesus called them to him, saying 'Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.'" It's never too early to start sharing the gospel with your kids!

We have partnered with a local mom to put this packet together. We pray this document blesses you and inspires you to give backyard VBS a try. Even if you just have a few kids there, it’s a win! This document is meant to take the planning away for you so that it's easy to execute.

Hosting or considering hosting? Let us know and we would love to connect you with CityBridge members close by you.

How to Start Loving Your Neighbor

Use the acronym SHARE

Start with prayer. Ask God to help you connect with your neighbors of all ages, ethnicities and religions. Pray for courage, patience, and love as you start new relationships.

Have real conversations. Don’t be afraid to initiate, most people enjoy talking about themselves! Ask about their family, work, interests, and faith. Share your story with authenticity.

Ask how you can help. Groceries, pet-sitting, meals, yard work or prayer, the close proximity of neighbors opens countless doors for serving and connection.

Respect their preferences. What blesses one neighbor might intimidate another! Use discernment, and engage in ways that work with each personality, including yours.

Endure and enjoy. Neighboring is a marathon, not a sprint. Take your time building deep relationships, with the goal of sharing not only the gospel, but your life as well.
