Johnathan Collins

My name is Johnathan Collins. I grew up in Southern California, where I met my bride, Summer. We started dating in October of my senior year in college in 2001, we were engaged the next February, and married in June of 2002. As if that wasn’t quick enough movement, we got back from our honeymoon on a Friday, started driving to Texas on Saturday, and I started work in Dallas on Monday. We ended up staying in Dallas as I attended law school at SMU.
I placed by faith in Christ at an early age, but I didn’t fully understand what it meant to have an abiding relationship with Christ until early in my 20s. It was at that point when I decided to surround myself with men who would disciple, encourage, sharpen, and spur me on to grow in my faith. My marriage and my life radically changed.
Summer and I have been blessed with four children, one girl, and three boys. Needless to say, they keep us on our toes. We love nights at the baseball field or on the basketball court, and weekends at the lake, where we have been blessed to make so many memories as a family.
