Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

  • CityBridge Community Church 6400 K Avenue Plano, TX, 75074 United States (map)

Invite your neighbors to an Easter Egg Hunt this Easter season! Use flyers, word of mouth, or social media to invite others. Ask each family who joins to bring 1-2 dozen filled eggs. Start the party with the egg hunt, then gather everyone together for refreshments and use the Ressurection Eggs to share the gospel. Easter is a time when people are more receptive to hearing the story of Jesus, so use this opportunity to share the good news in a simple way! Resurrection Eggs are a great resource for this.

Check out this great video on how to use Easter Eggs/Resurrection Eggs to share the gospel. Download the scripture and item references here.

How to use the Ressurection Eggs at an Easter Egg Hunt

  • Purchase or bring out your Resurrection Eggs

  • Get a small gift to use as a prize for one lucky winner.

  • Number your Resurrection Eggs in order with a sharpie.

  • Ask each family to bring a dozen stuffed eggs.

  • Have the adults hide all of the Easter eggs, including the Resurrection Eggs.

  • Tell the kids to look for the numbered eggs, because they’ll get to help you out with a story afterward.

  • Let the kids run wild, collecting all of their eggs.

  • Gather all of the excited kids together with their baskets full of eggs, and ask for everyone who got a numbered egg to hold them up.

  • Walk through the Resurrection story using the eggs in number order. Ask questions and let the kids get involved if they know the story.

  • Give a small prize to the owner of the empty egg, #12, explaining the significance and excitement that comes with the empty tomb!
