I am a Dallas gal, born and raised, and I am glad I stuck around. I am an only child who grew up going to church; however, I did not understand who God was. I didn’t know that He was full of love, grace, and forgiveness. As a teenager, I falsely believed that God was not for me, and this led to my rebellion. I went down a path of destruction and despair. I had lost hope.

However, in my mid-twenties, I surrendered and turned to God, asking for help. He was there, He had never left, and I came to know who He truly is – a forgiving Father who loved me to the point of sacrificing His Son Jesus Christ on the cross so I can be reconciled with Him (Romans 5:1-11). During this time, God put several people in my life that helped direct and point me to Him. One of them was my husband, Jonathan. My world had started to open up to what it meant to believe and understand that God was for me, not against me. I discovered that God could use my past rebellion and sin for good to help other women who are struggling and believing the lie that God is not for them and they are too damaged to be loved. This revelation that God could use me to help others gave me hope and encouraged me to share my story of redemption with others. I love watching the Lord change lives. I have been able to see so many beautiful transformations during the times I have served in re:generation.

My husband and I have been married for over 20 years, and we have two beautiful teenage daughters, Erin and Emily. The past twenty years have been filled with trials, which has grown us all, especially in my marriage, but it also has been marked with a lot of laughs and goofiness. I love spending time with my family, particularly around the dinner table. We love to laugh, and there have been times where we momentarily leave the table so we can gather ourselves from laughing too hard. I also love Saturday mornings with my husband when we can take time to drink coffee and catching up. I have worked in finance and administration for over twenty years (on and off) at large and small companies. Now I have the privilege to use these skills to be on mission with a wonderful community whose desire is to share the hope found in Jesus Christ.
