I started following Christ my senior year in high school. Having grown up in a Christian home I knew that I was a sinner in need of a savior, but kind of saw Jesus as a really wealthy man who picked up my tab at Starbucks. It was not until my senior year that I realized what following Christ actually meant. I was in my bible class at the private Christian school that I attended, and we were reading through the first chapter in Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s book “The Cost of Discipleship”. Soon after that I worked at Pine Cove Christian Camps and learned what it meant to live in community, be renewed by the word, and depend on God for everything. I also met my wife at Pine Cove.
As I continued through college I found myself working with Junior High ministries and loving it. I started working at a private Christian school teaching and coaching. This is where I began to feel the pull to work in a local church. After praying and seeking the Lord my Family and I felt called to follow Him to CityBridge. My wife and I are excited to serve at CityBridge and be part of this Family. We look forward to seeing our sons grow here in community with other families that are following after Christ.
